“Use it gently. It's a practice, not a promise.”
These terms are the agreement between you and Fieldfold when you use the app. By downloading or using Fieldfold, you agree to them. If you don't, that's okay — please don't use the app.
The short version
- Fieldfold is a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your own devices.
- Some features are free; others require a premium subscription or a one-time purchase, billed through the App Store or Google Play.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You cancel in the App Store or Play Store, not through us.
- Fieldfold is for reflection and personal practice. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
- Your practice stays on your device. See the Privacy page for the details.
Who we are
"Fieldfold," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the maker of the Fieldfold app. "You" and "your" refer to the person using it. These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy , form the whole agreement between us about the app.
Your license to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Fieldfold on any device you own or control, in line with the App Store or Google Play usage rules. This license is for your own, non-commercial use.
Please don't:
- Copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app or its content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or try to extract the source code, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- Use the app to break the law or to harm others.
Subscriptions, purchases, and billing
Fieldfold offers premium access as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly and annual) and as a one-time lifetime purchase. The current prices and any free-trial or introductory offers are shown in the app at the moment of purchase and on your platform's store.
- Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase and again at each renewal.
- Managing and canceling. You manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Play Store account settings — we can't cancel it for you. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trials. If an offer includes a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription during the trial.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds are handled under their policies, not ours. We don't receive or store your payment card details.
- Restoring. You can restore a previous purchase from the paywall using "Restore purchases."
Not advice — a note that matters
Fieldfold is a collection of reflective practices — journaling, visualization, intention-setting, and the like. It is offered for personal growth and enjoyment. It is not medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
The practices make no promise of any particular outcome — financial, romantic, or otherwise. If you are struggling with your mental health, please reach out to a professional or a local crisis line.
Your content
Everything you create in Fieldfold — journal entries, vision-board images, ledger entries, captures — is yours, and it stays on your device. We don't claim ownership of it and, because it never reaches our servers, we can't access, use, or share it. You are responsible for the content you add and for keeping your own backups; if you delete the app, local content is gone.
Our content
The app itself — its name, design, text, artwork, and the structure of its practices — belongs to Fieldfold and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Your license to use the app doesn't transfer any of those rights to you.
Third-party services
Fieldfold relies on a few outside services: the App Store and Google Play for distribution and billing, and PostHog for anonymous, aggregate analytics. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for third-party services or anything they do.
Apple App Store terms
If you use Fieldfold on an Apple device, the following apply, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them:
- This agreement is between you and Fieldfold only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims are our responsibility.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app — including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer-protection or privacy law.
- If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving that claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government prohibited-parties list.
Disclaimers
Fieldfold is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will bring about any specific result.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fieldfold will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Termination
This license lasts until it's ended. It ends automatically if you break these terms. You can end it any time by deleting the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability — survive termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. If we change anything material, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Fieldfold after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Fieldfold operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer-protection law grants you rights that can't be waived.
